HVAC Technician

We have an immediate opening for an experienced HVAC Technician. You will travel to each client’s location to inspect their current equipment, identify problems with their units, and perform necessary repairs or routine maintenance. When required, you will install new systems and ensure they are running smoothly. We work with commercial customers only. Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of professional HVAC repair experience and can work independently. Key Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, and HVAC systems
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-up of commercial HVAC systems
  • Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications
  • Control wiring and high voltage
  • Interprets blueprints
  • Work-order documentation
  • New equipment start-up and commissioning
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience is a MUST
  • OSHA 10 Minimum; OSHA 30 a plus
  • NH Gas Fitter License (Service Level)
  • EPA Certified
Journeyman Plumber

Palmer & Sicard, located in Exeter, NH has immediate openings for experienced and Motivated Commercial Plumber (Journeyman) in the NH Seacoast area. We have an immediate opening for an experienced Journeyman Plumbers. We work with commercial customers only. Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of Journeyman Plumbing experience. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Run large projects in a Foreman capacity
  • Proper reading of job plans and specifications, installation manuals, and shop drawings
  • Completes assigned projects with quality workmanship
  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
  • Rough and finish plumbing work
  • Boiler installation and repair
  • Gas piping installation, testing, and repair
  • Ensure the enforcement of all company policies, rules, regulations, and safety
  • On-going trade knowledge
  • Travels as necessary in the performance of duties and attends onsite project meetings as required
  • Works additional hours as required to complete the job
  • Communication with all persons that may be affected by the project is key!
Experience
  • Must have the ability to run large projects and multiple crews
  • 4-6 years prior experience in plumbing/piping installation
  • Knowledge of plumbing mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to schedule and manage personnel assigned and materials needed.

Sheet Metal Fabricator
Palmer and Sicard is looking for a highly motivated Sheet Metal Worker who will work and coordinate with the Fabrication Shop Foreman. Complete activities in manufacturing sheet metal and plumbing fabrication and pre-fabrication.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspects work in progress and finished products.
  • Measure, mark dimensions, and layout material to be installed using shop machines, hand and power tools, rulers, calculators, and squares.
  • Ensure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating sheet metal systems.
  • Select the appropriate type of gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications
  • Layout, cut, fit, form, and install assemblies made from a variety of materials when provided with blueprints, samples, or verbal instruction.
Qualifications
  • Have a basic understanding of sheet metal fabrication with training
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow directions and demonstrate learned tasks
Pipefitter CAD Drafter

Palmer and Sicard is looking for a highly motivated Mechanical CAD Drafter with Pipefitting experience who will work and coordinate with the Project Managers and Shop Foreman.

The Mechanical CAD Drafter is responsible for the development of complete and accurate CAD models, drawings, and design documents for Mechanical systems using AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, Revit, and other Computer Aided Design software tools. The Mechanical CAD Drafter works with Project Managers to create proper construction documents for field use and to develop knowledge and skills. The Mechanical CAD Drafter is required to have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within their field.
